List Your Rental Property on Trade Me Directly from UnitHub
New Zealand landlords can now list rental properties on Trade Me Property directly from UnitHub. Save time with automatic data syncing and manage everything in one place.
Introduction
Finding quality tenants in New Zealand means listing on Trade Me Property - the country's largest property marketplace. But managing listings across multiple platforms is time-consuming and error-prone.
The traditional process: 1. Log into UnitHub to get your property details 2. Log into Trade Me separately 3. Manually copy and paste property information 4. Upload photos one by one 5. Keep both systems updated when anything changes
The new UnitHub way: 1. Click "List on Trade Me" from your property page 2. Review pre-filled details and click submit 3. Done - your listing is live
We've integrated Trade Me Property directly into UnitHub, so New Zealand landlords can create and manage Trade Me listings without leaving their property management dashboard.
How the Trade Me Integration Works
The integration uses Trade Me's official API to create listings on your behalf. Here's what happens behind the scenes:
One-time setup: 1. Go to Settings > Integrations in UnitHub 2. Click "Connect to Trade Me" 3. Authorise UnitHub to create listings on your behalf 4. You're connected!
Creating a listing: 1. Navigate to any NZ property in UnitHub 2. Click the "Trade Me" card on the property page 3. Click "Create Listing" 4. Review the pre-filled form (title, address, bedrooms, photos) 5. Add weekly rent, description, and availability 6. Click "List on Trade Me"
Your photos are uploaded automatically, and the listing goes live within seconds. The listing appears under your Trade Me account - UnitHub just saves you the manual work.
What gets synced: - Property address and location - Number of bedrooms and bathrooms - Property type (house, apartment, townhouse, etc.) - All your property photos - Any details you've entered in UnitHub
Benefits for NZ Landlords
Save time on every listing
No more copying and pasting between systems. Your property data flows directly from UnitHub to Trade Me. What used to take 15-20 minutes now takes 2 minutes.
Reduce errors
Manual data entry leads to mistakes - wrong addresses, missing photos, inconsistent information. When data syncs automatically, your listings are accurate every time.
Single source of truth
All your property information lives in UnitHub. Update it once, and it's correct everywhere. No more wondering which system has the latest details.
Professional listings
Pre-filled data means you're less likely to forget important details. Every listing includes the information tenants need to make decisions.
Track everything in one place
See your Trade Me listing status directly on your UnitHub property page. No need to log into Trade Me separately to check if your listing is live.
Trade Me Listing Fees
Trade Me charges fees for rental property listings. These fees are paid directly to Trade Me - UnitHub doesn't add any markup or take any commission.
Current Trade Me rental listing fees:
| Weekly Rent | Listing Fee | |-------------|-------------| | Under $400/week | $99 NZD | | $400 - $799/week | $129 NZD | | $800+/week | $149 NZD |
These are Trade Me's standard fees - the same as listing directly on their website. The UnitHub integration doesn't cost extra.
Premium listing options:
Trade Me offers upgraded listing packages (Silver, Gold) with better visibility. Currently, UnitHub creates standard listings. Premium options may be added in future updates.
Fee timing:
Listing fees are charged to your Trade Me account when you create the listing. You'll need a valid payment method on your Trade Me account.
Getting Started
Requirements: - A UnitHub account (free tier works) - A Trade Me account - At least one property in New Zealand

Step 4: Manage your listing
Your listing status appears on the property page. Click through to view it on Trade Me, or close it when you've found a tenant.
